Randy Dearth

Randy Dearth, Board Director

Randy Dearth is an executive with over 35 years of experience in the chemicals industry. For the last five years, Randy has been an Operating Director with SK Capital Partners-a private equity firm focused on the chemicals and materials industries. Prior to that, Randy served as the President and CEO of GCP Applied Technologies, a global NYSE-listed construction chemicals and materials company based in Boston. From 2012 to 2018, Mr. Dearth was president, CEO, and chairman of the board of Calgon Carbon Corporation, a company that manufactures and markets products that remove contaminants from liquids and gases. Mr. Dearth also served for eight years as president and CEO of LANXESS Corporation (North America), a producer that develops and markets chemical intermediates, additives, specialty chemicals, and plastics. He was also president and CEO of Bayer Chemicals Corporation (North America) and held a number of global marketing roles with Bayer, both in the United States and Germany.

Mr. Dearth’s background includes a master’s degree in polymer science and engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Hiram College. Randy also serves as a board member for the Stepan Company (NYSE:SCL).

Here in Pittsburgh, Randy has been active with the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, the Warhol Museum, the Energy Innovation Center, the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania. He resides in Sewickley.
